The third pillar of the San Juan Soil and Water Conservation District mission is to provide financial and administrative assistance to citizens and groups within our District whose goals overlap with our own. SWCDs have the unique ability to move different sources of funding across jurisdictional boundaries (ie: spend federal grant dollars on private lands), and for this reason we often serve as fiscal agent for groups working to solve natural resource issues that span private, state, local, federal, and tribal boundaries.
